After using other wireless head set systems, I found the TV Ears to be light, comfortable to wear, and a nice sound quality. The only caveat is the battery life, which I found to be 4-5 hours. I had seen the TV Ears advertised some place as being "up to 10 hours", which would be more to my personal liking.(I have had other sets run for two or three days on a charge) It certainly is up to the individual's taste-if you don't spend a long weekend day watching sports, go for it!

I had to buy five of these over a period of month or so to get two sets that worked for over a week. And even then one charging cradle didn't work. These are really cheaply made. After about year, now both units have failed again. So I have bought five of these and got a year's use out of one. PURE JUNK.
Good sound, useful August 27, 2010

This is our second pair, the headsets are used constantly at my house and are a bit flimsy for such hard use. Otherwise they are a lifesave, good sound, comfortable fit and have prevented many a fight (not to mention other-viewer hearing loss!) - my father-in-law, in particular, likes them, they apparently don't just increase sound but also make it more clear for him.

Pro: you can hear the TV from any spot in the room, don't have to be in front of it.
Con: the tone is not adjustable, it's not as clear as it should be.
